Safety is a team effort involving all. It is the goal of Newell Machinery Company to provide a quality job done safely to meet all of our customers expectations. Safety is an important part of our jobs, and an important part of our lives. A successful business must have a successful safety program.
We will maintain a safety and health program that conforms to the best practices of organizations of this type. To succeed, such a program must embody the proper attitudes toward injury and prevention on the part of management, supervisors, and employees. It also requires cooperation in all safety and health matters, not only between supervisor and employee, but also between each employee and their fellow workers. Only through such a cooperative effort can a safety program in the best interest of all be established and preserved.
We recognize that the responsibility for safety and health is shared by all employees of this organization as follows:
- Management is responsible for providing leadership in the development of a safety and health program, and for the ongoing maintenance and enforcement of the program. Furthermore, management is responsible for demonstrating safe work behavior and leading by example.
- Supervisors are responsible for developing the proper attitudes toward safety and health in themselves, and in those they supervise. Also, they are responsible for ensuring that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved and affected, by safe work practices and enforcement of company policy.
- Employees are responsible for wholehearted, and genuine cooperation with all aspects of the safety and health program, including compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continuously practicing safety while performing their assigned job duties.
We look forward to working with each employee in helping to achieve the safest and healthiest work place possible. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your safety while working at Newell Machinery Co., Inc,. please contact your supervisor or the Corporate Safety Director immediately, so that we can take prompt corrective action to ensure your complete understanding of the performance expectations which are detailed throughout this program, and so that whatever the problem may be, it can be corrected as soon as possible.
